is a comprehensive, co-educational middle high school for students from Years 7-10. Riverstone High School provides a broad curriculum that is challenging and relevant to the needs of all of its students. The school has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and technology, and is committed to turning student potential into achievement through participation in a wide range of academic, cultural, sporting and social pursuits. This high expectation is supported by exemplary welfare programs that foster leadership, encourage social responsibility and promote mutual respect such as the school's Positive Behaviour for Learning program. These programs are combined with an ongoing infrastructure development program and a strategic plan that constantly searches for even better ways of providing quality education to students.
Our mission is to provide a positive and stimulating environment which values and fosters the involvement of parents in students' education; teaching and learning that is enjoyable, challenging, rewarding and life-long; mutual respect, responsibility and individuality; striving by staff and students to achieve potential; self-esteem and self-confidence through participation in academic, cultural, sporting and social pursuits; and an appreciation of the physical environment.
Our vision is that as a vibrant and innovative community we are committed to quality teaching and learning. Personal responsibility in delivering excellence (PRIDE) underpins all that we do in supporting, encouraging and challenging every member of our school community to reach their full potential as active and informed global citizens.
Our strategic directions are:
- Quality teaching and learning
- High expectations
